How the random draw works
A random sweepstake generator takes the competitors you paste in and shuffles their order before dealing them around the people in your group. This sweepstake draw uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle in your browser, so your names are not sent away or saved.
If there are more competitors than people, the list loops around and shares the extra picks as evenly as the numbers allow. If the numbers do not divide exactly, the first few people in the shuffled order receive one more pick. You see the complete result before copying or saving anything.
The optional fairness seed makes a draw repeatable. Enter the same people, competitors and seed in the same order and the sweepstake maker produces the same allocation. That gives colleagues a simple way to check the draw rather than relying on a hidden result.
How to run a sweepstake at work
Start by choosing an event your group already follows and decide whether entry is free. Agree how a winner is decided before the draw, especially if the event can have joint winners or a withdrawal. Add the names, run the draw where colleagues can see it and share a copy afterwards. Keep prize money outside SweepSquad and make the rules available to everyone. Our office sweepstake guide covers the workplace details, while the quick-start guide takes you through the app.
Sweepstake ideas for this season
Weekly elimination shows work well because the group has a clear update after each episode. You can start with a Strictly sweepstake, draw all 12 bakers in a Bake Off sweepstake, or follow murders and banishments with a Celebrity Traitors sweepstake. For sport and other current choices, browse the events list. You can use the free tool for a quick draw or save it when you want emails and a shared leaderboard.
Same fair draw, plus a live leaderboard.
The free generator is great for a quick draw. SweepSquad's full office sweepstake app adds automatic group tables, knockout elimination and a winner email — without ever touching the pot.
Provably fair
Optional seed makes the draw reproducible. Share the seed and anyone can verify.
In your browser
The shuffle runs locally. We don't store your list — refresh and it's gone.
No money handled
